Does masturbation effect the testosterone level?


     Testosterone is a male hormone which is responsible  for the muscle growth, it is also a sex hormone, it gives you male characteristic  such as muscle strength, facial hair etc. Many people think that masturbation effect the testosterone level of body where as other people think that it does not have any effect on testosterone level. Lets find out the answer!


     Sperms are the male living cells inside the male body. These sperms has life of 74 days, after 74 days the cell dies or the body absorbed the cells and produces the new sperm cells. The process of production of sperm is said  be said to be spermatogenises. In these process there is the production of sperm cells.
     The first priority of body  is to produce sperms and testosterone is the hormone responsible for the gaining muscles not sperms. LH (lutinising hormone) give signal to produce testosterone and FSH (follicle stimulating harmone) gives signal to produce sperms.
     When you masturbate you ejaculate your sperms the brain produce FSH, FSH signal to testes to carryout spermatogenesis which produces the sperms and spermatogenesis  need FSH for the sperm production. And for the production of testosterone LH is responsible. If your testosterone level drop in body then the brain will produce LH and LH will give a signal to produce more testosterone . Testosterone has only 4% role in spermatogenesis which is negligible, hence testosterone is not responsible  for making sperms.when you masturbate your FSH level get effect and not LH level or testosterone. Hence testosterone production and sperm production are very different from each other.

Conclusion:-
     No effect of testosterone thus no effect of body gain but when you ejaculate then there is the boost of the dopamine (feel good hormone) hence you feel relax and good. After few min it drop down. Hence you should avoid masturbation before workout not because of testosterone but because of dopamine.
