As food, shelter and cloth sleep is also basic need of man. Some people take sleep to much where as other people takes sleep very less because hey don't know how much sleep is enough for them?
The amount of sleep you need is changes over the age varies from person to person. If you routine loss sleep then the sleep loss get added. Some people nap as a way to deal with sleep, naps gives alertness to mind for few time however these time will not give much benefits.
The ideal amount of sleep one should taken as as follows :-
- Baby less than 1 year should sleep at least 12 to 16 hrs per day
- From age between 1 year to 5 years should sleep at least 12 to 14 hrs per day
- From age 6 to 12 years should sleep between 9 to 12 hrs.
- At age 12 to 18 one should sleep 8 to 10 hrs.
- At age 18 and above 7 to 8 hrs sleep is enough.
Sleep imbalance can affect people even when they sleep the total number of hrs recommended for their age group. People whose sheep is out of sync with their body clock routinely interrupted might need to pay special attention to there sleep. If you daily sleep routine limits your ability to get enough sleep then talk with doctor. And you should talk with your doctor if your sleep is more than 8 hrs but don't feel well rested. You may have a sleep disorder or other health problem.
