Sleep deprivation vs sleep deficiency



          As eating, drinking and breathing is a basic need sleep is also a basic need of man. It plays a very important role for good health and well being throughout your lifetime. The deprivation and deficiency of sleep leads to various physical and mental health problems.


          Sleep deprivation is a condition that occurs if you don't get enough sleep. In sleep deprivation the subject is not getting enough sleep where as sleep deficiency is a condition that occurs if you not get enough sleep or wrong time sleep or poor quality sleep.
          To understanding sleep deficiency first you have to understand how sleep work and why sleep is important.

          There are two basic types of sleep
          1) Rapid eye movement (REM)
          2) Non- REM

          In REM dreaming occurs whereas non - REM has deep sleep. Both REM and Non-REM 3-5 cycle each night.
          Your body consist of internal body clock. These clock make a time of when you awake or when you sleep. These block generally follows 24 hrs rhythm. These rhythm affect body organ and body working.
          If you found difficulty in sleeping then you feel tired and week. It can interfere in your work, school, college, etc. You may found difficulty in learning and concentrating on any topic. These leads to frustration and affect mental state.
          The sign and symptoms of sleep deficiency may differ between child and adult. Children might be active but may face problems. They might misbehave and end up with poor performance in the school and physical life.

          So everybody must take sleep seriously and do not niglet it. It you niglet it you may endup with poor performance within yourself.
